When God told Prophet Hosea to marry a prostitute it wasn't about God punishing him but the significance was in the state of God's people that acted like prostitutes and abandoned the Lord. So, Hosea married Gomer.


Reading many comments on Finidi's poor delivery as the super eagle coach my mind went to the significance.   


In 1990s, I admired FINIDI football skill so much, especially his fantastic way of playing corner kick. Indeed, "there was once a super eagle," 2000s babies you can't decode this. Finidi George was once a great player in Nigeria team. 


Evidently, being a great player may not make someone a great coach. Being a great ruler doesn't make a leader. Finidi displayed everything in politics of Nigeria:

June 12, shows significance interest of self-centered military leadership that reminds us more of annulment of our free and fair election in the history of Nigeria than Democracy Day itself.


Just like FINIDI, we are still battling with leadership that plays no value on public opinion or relation. "A leader is a listener." We need Victor Boniface... But no listener to yield our cry! 


Our land is suffering socially, economically, emotionally and spiritually yet no listener. Things are getting out of hands in our education and health sectors, no listener! 


While dying we smile, we laugh, we play, we sing, we dance, we talk, we jubilate, we praise, we celebrate and rejoicing. Our suffering motherland since colonial era never free from suffering!


Finidi's tactics  show a team can have  wonderful players with bad coach (leader) goes nowhere. A country may have industrious, creative, thinking, talented and skillful citizens with bad leaders no progress for the country. 


I rest my case with this song sang about 45 years ago that says: "Which way Nigeria?" Still relevant to our current situation. 


Let's kick out the sense of finidinism in our system and embrace new methodology for progress.

Ademola Lookman grabbed a brace while Victor Osimhen came off the bench to help Nigeria’s Super Eagles to a comfortable 3-0 victory in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Benin Republic. Lookman scored in both halves, while Osimhen struck in between. The victory takes Nigeria to the top of Group D as they prepare for the next tie against Rwanda on Tuesday, September 10. It serves as a confidence booster for the Nigerian side that struggled against the Cheetahs when they met recently in a 2026 World Cup qualifying game. Gernot Rohr’s side came from behind to win that one 2-1.  A big congratulations to super eagle.
