DW: Volkswagen plans to lay off one in six employees. These are the first mass layoffs in the corporation’s 87-year history.

For decades, cars were an untouchable foundation of Germany but Volkswagen's management says that doing business in Germany is no longer possible, and in the coming years, up to 110,000 people out of the roughly 600,000 employees at Volkswagen may lose their jobs. Factories, dealerships, and logistics centers will also be shut down.

What's even funnier is that a year ago, Volkswagen introduced an anti-crisis plan, but a recent audit revealed that they still need to cut an additional €4 billion in expenses.

A neural network scandal erupted in the U.S., reaching the level of George Floyd’s incident.

A Black man came to buy chicken at a Chick-Fil-A that uses AI voice recognition. His name is Marquis, but the AI recorded it as "Monkey". As a result, the cashier, who didn't seem to care much, shouted, "Order for Monkey is ready!" across the entire restaurant.

Fortunately, the worker wasn’t fired he turned out to be under 18, so they won’t be "burning" him for this mistake.

🗣 Nvidia is facing a full-scale investigation, having already lost $280 billion in one day — a record loss.

The Telegraph: Death - Reversible.

Sam Parnia from New York University has studied death for 30 years, and now he claims to be 100% sure that it is a reversible process.

Sam has the results to back up his claim—in 2012, his team’s resuscitation rate after cardiac arrest was 33%, compared to the global average of 16%. But it gets even more impressive—Sam stated that the brain can remain in a recoverable state for several days.  Parnia refers to recent studies where a pig’s brain was revived after 14 hours, and with special equipment, organs in pigs were even restored.  “It's only a matter of time before these technologies transition from pigs to humans,” the scientist believes.

Sam clarifies that he’s not talking about people who died from natural causes. He’s referring to cases like murders, car accidents, and other incidents where otherwise healthy individuals can be revived with relative ease.

Currently, the scientist is releasing a book to draw attention to the issue and to raise funds for his team’s work in this field.

Drug cartels
On X (formerly Twitter), some are ironically suggesting to vote for drug cartels in the next U.S. elections.

The reasoning behind this unusual proposition is that the price of cocaine has dropped over the past 10 years, while its purity has increased several times over.

Cartels have been working hard to improve the quality of their product without raising the price for the end consumer.
